My Problem

I dropped my iPhone and started getting white lines on half the scree, though the screen was not broken. After looking it up, I had tried to re-connect the screen connectors, but it did not fix the problem. We had several good reasons for trying the repair:

My Fix

Repair went very well. Screws are very small. I used a magnetic bowl to put the screws while i disassembled. When connecting the cables you will hear a distinct click when they go in. If not they aren't seated. Be patient.

Test everything before closing the screen up.

Good quality co . . .

Good. The screws were really tiny. That was the worst. Directions were spot on.

My Advice

Don't drop any of the screws. Impossible to find.

My Problem

Severely cracked screen

My Fix

Initially tried the build with a screen from another vendor, which didn't include the camera/earpiece assembly. While trying to transfer the camera/earpiece parts over to the new screen, there were two very tiny parts, a rubber one and a plastic one with a small metal brace. I . . .

This phone belonged to a student I teach at the middle school, and her screen was completely cracked with missing pieces.

Replace shattered screen

My Fix

Unfortunately, when I needed the screen, iFixit was out of stock, so I bought one from another supplier. After a few days that screen started blacking out intermittently, with episodes more frequent and lasting longer each day. I bought the display assembly when it became ava . . .

My Problem

My daughter dropped her phone at work and shattered the screen.

It took less than 15 minutes to change out the replacement.
