My Problem

Lower screen was damaged (water perhaps?) in the sense that even though the touchscreen was functional, and the displayed worked fine, it had some shadows/clouds/floral motif shapes. At first I thought it was some kind of wallpaper. Tilting the screen forward revealed a net of spots.

Also, the butt . . .

My Problem

Literally, the screen was shattered. Pieces falling out like dust in the wind.

It went swiftly. Watching videos of how to take it apart from our friends on iFixit really helped me out. The holding the display assembly with the iPhone box was ingenious! I always used to hold while I operated with one . . .

My Problem

My father's iPhone 6 is a little over 2 years old now, and the battery is starting to go. Dying at 40 something % and not coming back on unless you plug it in. (The same issue Apple is covering for the 6s and blaming on "Ambient air" now???)

Repair went great. Screws were easy, getting the screen off . . .

The airport card was no longer showing up and as a result I hade no wireless connectivity.

My Fix

The repair was pretty straightforward. The guide made things very easy to get the job done.

My Advice

The tape removal steps are a bit worrisome and the tape won't go back on as it originally sat but that's not too import . . .
