These batteries are well adhered to the upper case of the computer so removing them isn't as straightforward as we'd like it to be. Fear not! Our kit offers all the tools needed to perform the repair and our guide shows you how to use the kit.

  • Installation adhesive

Fix Kit contents:

MacBook Pro Retina batteries are originally adhered to the upper case assembly as a single part from Apple. The parts we sell may have been separated from this assembly. Consequently, the battery adhesive may have some cosmetic flaws.

Note: Lithium ion battery shipping regulations limit the shipping methods for orders containing batteries. My Problem

My battery wasn't nearly as good as it once was and had a "replace soon" warning.

My Fix

Very easy, but maybe not so if it's your first attempt at opening up a MacBook.

The directions are very straightforward, and although it is long, I don't necessarily think it was difficult.

My Problem

Battery swelling was causing Mac book pro casing to warp. Lid would not close completely. If allowed to go on battery was going to do something bad.

My Fix

Only hard part was removing glued in battery. Fortunately, the overheated battery caused much of the adhesive to soften. Got 2/3 of the battery pried lo . . .
