Tools
These are some common tools used to work on this device. You might not need every tool for every procedure.
If you have a Saeco fully automatic coffee machine, also take a look at the information and guides for devices from Philips and Gaggia. The machines from these brands all come from the same manufacturer and have a very similar structure. Some components are identical in many cases, e.g. pump, drainage valve, heater, or drive unit.
All of these durable and robust machines share a common chassis, and many spare parts are identical in construction. The load-bearing housing is made of heavy sheet metal, and the attachments are made of plastic. The brewing unit is easily accessible through a metal flap on the right side and can be pulled out easily. The image shows a Philips-Saeco Royal one touch Cappuccino, its model designation is HD 8930. You can usually find the model designation on a sticker on the bottom.
