My iPod has been submerged in juice

My iPod has been submereged at least halfway in juice (the top half.) I did the whole iPod in rice for 3 days, but it does not completely work. It still functions to play music and interweb, but the backlight does not work, the battery seems to die after two hours, then after the battery dies all the music I put on it gets deleted (like someone performed a factory reset)

If anyone can tell me what seems to be broken on it, so I can buy replacement parts and/or if its even salvageable that would be great.

other info:

iTunes tells me sometimes "data cannot be read on device" and the backlight flickers on briefly when I unlock the iPod touch.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?
