What is this part (which is leftover from a repair)?

I replaced the doc connector on my iphone 4s. This part came out of the phone, but I can't figure out from where. I put the phone back together and it seems to be working fine without it, but I'm sure it's needed for a reason.

That little plastic plate goes on top of the left side of the plastic dock speaker housing, near the vibrate motor, held in by the screw there. It is under the dock flex cable.

Brad is right. It is a small black spacer located under the Phillips screw near the vibrator.
