Frankly there's nothing you've given us as far as symptoms to even start to try to help you. We have to have something to work with. if you can't get a history and you've tried everything, you can sell it as is on eBay or take it to a professional.

First ID your Mac - second sounds like the reason you were given the laptop is someone spilled something on it. Your description sounds like damage to the battery connector. IF the laptop has been previously opened and improperly assembled the topcase (power button) may not be connected to the logic board. There are jumpers on the logic board to bypass the power button. Once you get it open you can also use a magnifier to see if there's corrosion or burnt/scorched, broken parts on the logic board.

I have the problem. Power adapter turns Green, then Orange, then Solid Green again. I've checked this with a working Macbook and it's normal.

No liquid has touched the board.

Now...When I press the Power Button (Jumper on the logic board), but nothing happens. It does get about 4v. G3Hot also gives 3.5v.

Does anybody have a fix ? Seems like a common problem.

- For future reference you posted a Question in the place where only Answers belong. Please use the Add Comment link, or start your Question. A

DIY fix would be to replace the logic board.
