will not run on battery

cats running by, jerked the power cord and ibook stopped. I ordered and replaced the dc-in board. Now the ibook runs on power, but will not run on battery. It show 97% but will not charge. battery has all four lights.

Perhaps it's your charger... or the reassembly of the iBook. System Profiler->Power will tell you if the computer detects the charger. Recheck all the connections you made (I hope you did this with the battery/power removed, crossed/shorted connections can occur easily if there's power to the board when reassembling.)

i ran sys. profiler-power, it says it sees a battery, and is not charging, cycle count is 66, condition is good. under charger info it says it is a 50 watt charger,it is connected and is not charging. this ibook is runing 10.5.8.

i downloaded coconut 2.6.6 and ran it. current charge is 3887 out of 4026. capacity is 4026 out of original 4400. loadcycles =66. charger is connected and is not charging. the ibook seems to run fine on the charger. the battery and charger were disconnected when the dc-in board was installed
