Can I blow a good logic board when replacing in bad MBP?

Can I blow a good replacement logic board by installing it in a MBP with a bad DC In Board or other assembly? I'm trying to test the DC In Board which is probably bad. Is there a better way to test it? Are there other assemblies that if defective, can damage the logic board?

Bad DC in won't cause any problem, it is just a gate sending power to the board.

Bad LCD cable will short backlight or PP3V3_S0 to ground.

Bad wifi cable or bad hard drive will blow inductors on the board.

Bad battery might blow up current sensing circuitry or cause SMC issues.

Bad webcam or trackpad may pull sensor lines down.

The dc in board is never bad unless it is covered in green corroding junk; it's just wishful thinking because dc in board is $5. :(
