address book re compilation procedure

I am not able to delete the unwanted addresses from my address book what is the procedure could any one help me thanks

many thanks for the help since i have migrated from windows it is slightly different but very comfortable and reliable to work with mac

Options

Open your address book. Click once on the name you want to delete. Go up to the top menu bar to Edit. Go down to "delete card". This removes it from mine.

I suppose it must be address book corruption of virus, power failures...

You can use programming method of resolving problem, make use next one Address Book Fix Toolbox
