Screen black after LCD replacement

I've cracked my screen so I ordered a new one. I followed the guide on this site and inserted new LCD panel.

Now when I turn Macbook on there is a quick white flash and screen goes completely black. I hear sounds and OS does boot up. When OS is booted up there is a light coming from a bottom of it that can be affected by changing brightness.

If I connect my old cracked screen it just glows white and has black spots.

I tried reseting PRAM, SMC, PMU...

What could be wrong? Is it possible the screen I got is just faulty?

Plug it into an external monitor to help isolate the problem. If the external monitor does the same thing it's not a cable or display issue but the video graphics chip (processor). You could have damaged the VGC when you cracked the screen.
