right speaker makes strange noise
When I do anything sound related my right speaker makes a loud strange noise. Do I need to replace the speaker and if so, how?

The PowerBook's right- and left-channel speakers are located in the back right and left corners of the base, respectively, while the midrange-enhancing third speaker occupies the back-middle area of the base under the display hinge.

Here is a tear down to the logic board. You would be on your own from there. This appears to be a very difficult replacement requiring tear down to almost the bare case. Consider just opening it up and clipping the speaker wire.
