13 Mini restarting randomly SMC PANIC - ASSERTION FAILED - BSC failure

Hi,

my iPhone 13 Mini crashes and restarts every 3 minutes. Error log shows SMC BSC failure of type 0x1000 , which should be the proximity flex cable. However, after disconnecting it, the error continued to exist. Is this possible? Should I still change the proximity flex cable altough disconnecting it didn't result in a fix?

Disconnecting it doesn’t resolve the issue. You’ll need to connect a known good to get the error to clear. The issue is that it’s not getting communications from a sensor on this cable. Disconnecting it will continue to produce this error since the sensor is still not present. It needs a good sensor that can communicate properly with the CPU to be connected.
