What does this ribbon cable do

My cousin was Trying to fix my computer, but he put hot glue on a ribbon cable that ripped off. It would be helpful if I knew what this ribbon cable connects to.

Use high percentage IPA to remove that hot glue to avoid damage. At least it isn't super glue. After removing the glue, educate the person who did that by calling them out for putting something that didn't need to be added in the first place.
