Upgrade RAM on late 2011 MacBook Pro

What’s the max amount of RAM I can put into a Late 2011 MacBook Pro? I wanted to upgrade to 16gb. With i5 processor. Also want to upgrade the drive to a SSD. Doing this cause on a budget and can’t afford a new laptop. Not even refurbished. Lol

It should be able to handle a max of 16GB. (8GBx2). You may want to just try the SSD alone first and see if the performance is good enough for your needs before you buy the extra memory.

Thank you for that. Yeah was thinking just the SSD as well. But was still curious on the max RAM.

Am using 16GB of RAM plus have converted original HD to SSD (1TB) and have removed the CD drive and have added another SSD (1TB). It works good.
