Hi @cynnerox

Even though there's no surface damage visible, that doesn't mean that the display didn't suffer any internal damage from the phone being dropped.

Here's the ifixit Samsung Galaxy S8 Screen Replacement guide that may help.

Once the phone is open you could check that the display flex cable is still securely connected and if so, then you would need to temporarily replace the display and check to see if it worked.

If the replacement also didn't work then there's a problem on the systemboard and further testing would be required to find out what's wrong.

If you decide to replace the display make sure that you get the correct one, (search using the model number for your phone) as there are different displays due to the many S8 variant models made for different phone service providers as the following version list shows:

Versions: G950F (Europe, Global Single-SIM); G950FD (Global Dual-SIM); G950U (USA Unlocked); G950A (AT&T); G950P (Sprint); G950T (T-Mobile); G950V (Verizon); G950R4 (US Cellular); G950W (Canada); G950S/G950K/G950L (South Korea); G9500 (China)
