Flickering horizontal lines on retina MB 2017

I've got a MacBook 2017 with flickering horizontal lines which make it almost unusable. My suspicion is that it could be the LDVS cable.

Anybody else seen this problem and tried a fix ?

You could try disconnecting and reconnecting the display and perform an NVRAM reset, but on this model this symptom most likely indicates a failing display assembly. The issue might be due to a failure of the attached display board, but in either case you'll probably need to replace the display to fix it. Good luck!
