What is the best way to extract stripped screws?

i tried to remove the back shell but last time i screwed the back shell i screwed the screws too much and when i tried to remove the cover again one of the screws go striped pretty bad (the other screw doesn't work I'm not sure if the plastic is worn out or that the screw got snapped)

p.s my pen doesn't stay properly in the shell so it falls out almost every time i pickup my 3ds is it the plastic in the 3ds or the plastic on the pen that is worn out

Answer this question I have this problem too

Assuming you're familiar with the rubber band method, replace the rubber band with a thin piece of fabric. It works wonders for me, but if it's not as effective for you, check out this guide

As for the stylus, you can see it much better than we can, so that's up to you to determine. If you're taking the 3ds apart anyway, it'll be easy to check the stylus slot for wear, otherwise you can try shining a light into the slot and checking it that way.
