My harddrive failed. Is it possible to replace?

I understand the SSD is soldered to the board which would make a repair difficult but is it possible at all to replace the SSD? I can barely find any info online about it making me think it's extremely hard to do.

Yes. You'll need to replace all SSD NAND chips as a set and probably need some kind of NAND programmer to rewrite the serial number.
