new UJ867A drive is different

A new optical drive was purchased, manufactured by Panasonic. It arrived with a front bezel with indicator light and eject button. How is this extra hardware removed with out damaging the drive. The old drive was removed from a early 2009 McBook.

Options

The door may be removed most of the time by pushing up on it. Most have two slide lock tabs that secure them in place.

Your answer worked. I left the micro circuit board intact containing the led and eject switch.
