Why did my MacBook just shut down out of nowhere?

Hello, I am confused about this thing that is going on with my Macbook Pro, it said that it would go to sleep soon unless plugged in because the battery was low, and I plugged it in, it was charging just fine, and I had it sitting on the Home Screen with nothing open in the background, and it just shutdown automatically, I don’t know what is going on, and I have it all up to date. Someone please help me with this problem.
