What does Jtag do?

I’m wondering what “Jtag” on the motherboard does,

What it connects to,

I’ve lost the cable in side the machine

So. The thing with the JTAG connector is, it likely didn’t have a cable. JTAG connectors are for performing board level functions, checks, debugging, etc…. So end users will generally never have to make use of them. In fact most modern Mac boards (the production models anyways) have pads for the connector, but nothing soldered there.

So really. You didn’t lose it. You never had it.

What does this connector do? Empty connector on the logic board

Also should be empty. From what I can tell. The schematic indicates it has communication lines that would indicate some relationship to display functionality. But it may have been something they decided to scrap later in the design process. Either way. The fact that you don’t have a cable for this is normal.
