Hi everyone! I've tried to google this but can't find something about. What does this empty connector on my logic board does?

Thanks!

Yes, very interested in J602.

Can anyone define the function of this connector?

There are common connections between J602 and J9002 (LCD data connector). For example, signals SMB_BLC_TCON_SDA and SMB_BLC_TCON_SCL connect to both connectors.

I think these two signal provide data/clk to the chip on the LCD board relating to the LCD temperature sensor. The LCD temp sensor connector is on the LCD panel board itself,

I have two iMacs and plan to use REMOTE MANAGEMENT to see the Display of the 2011 iMac on my 2019 iMac.

I plan to remove LCD PANEL, but FANS go crazy with LCD temperature sensor issue.

AHT results in 4SNS/1/C0000008 TL0p — 124 which is LCD temp sensor issue.

@arkcyd according to my documentation this is J602 which is the MLB to BLC connector. Looking at the schematic it is not a test point for the logic board but at best for the backlight. See if this will help you further with your research
