White residue on logic board.

When i opened my mac for a ssd install i found traces of white residue on the logic board.

Should i be worried?

Apple support says it's not a defect.

Did ifixit found any on its iMac teardowns?

I thought i saw some traces on the pictures but you must have cleaned it before.

I found that too, on MacBooks (Pro), especially around larger solder joints. I don't think it's something to worry about, but i still clean then whenever possible. Must have something to do with the kind of solder used.

+ You'll also see this on RAM a lot. I've never had a problem with it.

I have this on a msi graphics card and i think it is something to watch out for because the graphics card stopped working for no reason, it was never overclocked or something, it had only this matte, white gunk on there, had this on a ram stick to but that does still work, i dont know about logic boards though, anyway, its a foreign object that you should clean i guess
