fan wire connector end

i want to make sure i understand which way the fan wire connector comes off the logic board, does it slide straight back towards the screen or does it come straight up off the logic board?

Options

Straight up. There are two kinds of fan connectors on the 1181 macbook line. On the first macbooks the connector is bigger but is removed the same way by lifting it straight up by the wires side. Be careful cause it's easy to break or desolder the socket from the board. Use the flat side of a spudger to lift it.
