Replacement battery shuts down when 20% power left.

I installed the new battery i got from ifixit. The battery charges & computer runs fine. The only problem i have is that when the power indicator gets to 20%, my laptop shuts down. When I plug in the charger & restart it, it shows the battery at close to 0%. I’ve charged calibrating it twice & it still happens. Any suggestions?

The battery you are using might be used already making it seem like is has power when in reality is has very little power. I personally have never seen a battery fail before it hits zero but I am just giving information out.

It also might be a problem with the computer considering it is older than ten years old but I would recommend buying a new batter from a real store rather than a not very popular website.
