Hard Drive (Toshiba MK1234GSX) Failing

Hello,

The Toshiba MK1234GSX hard drive is failing on my MacBook1,1 Intel Core Duo 2ghz. I was doing a permissions repair and S.M.A.R.T. status is failing and drive access has gotten really slow.

1. Does anyone have any suggestions on a replacement drive? If I can I would like to get a bigger drive installed.

2. How hard would it be for me to replace the drive myself?

3. Does anyone have direct link to a tutorial to do this fix?

Thanks in advance for your help!
