Moving mid-2012 MacBook Retina display to mid-2014 Retina MacBook Pro

The question says it all: can a mid-2012 Macbook Pro 15” Retina display be moved and work on a mid-2014 Macbook Pro Retina system? They are both A1398, as I found out, and also, no isight cable.

Answer this question I have this problem too
