Will not start up. Could this be DC card?
Is there a way of testing a DC card without going through the whole re-assembly process?

In a word No. But we might be able to help you locate what the problem is. Please give a better description of your problem including sounds, tones and lights and maybe we can help you.

Thank you for your reply. There are no sounds or signs of life. The charger connector lights up and that's all. I confess to buying it on spec from Ebay mainly because it was advertised as without charger or Hd and I happen to have both. I rather like this particular model and was on the look out for one. It is in perfect cosmetic condition so it would be nice to get it going. I am reasonably experienced in going inside apple laptops although the DC in card seems to be about the last thing you can get at!
