802.11n wifi chip inside 3rd gen 8gb iPod touch?

I was wondering since they found the BCM4329 wifi chip inside the 32gb iPod touch if they also found that same chip inside the new late 2009 8gb iPod touch.

No, the 3rd gen 8gb iPod Touch is identical in every respect ot the second gen.

That's for the 16+32gb, which had extensive updates, including the same processor as the 3gs, the 8 gig remained untouched
