My MacBook wont turn on. It makes a scratching noise.

My macbook wont turn on. I was using it and then it fell asleep. When I tried pressing a button to turn on it didnt. So I tried pressing the on/off button and it just makes a noise like a scratch and it does nothing. If I connect the charger it does charge but it wont turn on.
