NFC and apple pay problems

Just a quick question. Recently repaired the back glass of 11 however damaged the wireless charging coil. Ordered a new one and installed. Now Apple pay is not working so NFC is not working either. I just wanted to know if the coil is the NFC problem? Or is it the flex cable at the top of the phone that’s the problem? Thanks

Update (11/17/2020)

Any idea which one it is? There are 3 connectors coming from 3 different antennas at the top. I have highlighted them

After reconnecting all 3 of the connectors shown in the screenshot the NFC function worked. I still don't know which one of these was the problem but it seems that the connection was not passing the signal through. For anyone wondering how to test NFC I use NFC tags which I write to using a compatible phone and then just tap the top of the phones to see if the tag gets picked up.

Hello ! im having the same issue after change the back chasis, and apparently the nfc antenna is well installed, i dont know how to fix it.

Hello! I'm having the same issue after changing the full frame, and apparently, the NFC is not reading or even functional via Apple Pay. He broke my volume flex cable and told me that he will replace it as soon as he got stocks, I didn't bother to come back to him since he is far away from my place. I fully replaced the volume flex cable and got it to working. I thought this will fix the NFC problem, but it didn't. So, what is the other possible issue with this? Should I replace/try to reseat the Bluetooth antennas, but my Bluetooth is still working. Or should I replace the NFC coil for like the wireless charging for the back glass since its probably broken also since I can't use it also. Help me find a solution to this please.

It’s at the top of the phone, usually around the camera.

The NFC antenna is frequently mislabeled as Bluetooth on vendor sites. It is generally mounted between the camera module and the housing.

It's difficult to find pictures of it in place due its positioning in the housing, but it's this one mounted into the side of the chassis here. It is the one with the screw on the inside of the camera cutout. In nearly all iPhones it will use the standoff which goes into the board near the camera as a grounding point.

Alright. Thats the one I thought, I inspected that antenna last noght and it looked completely fine. I have also been told on other forums that the NFC is located in the charging coil, but im still not sure. I will just have to check both I guess. Thank you for your help

After testing I can confirm that it is the antenna u r referring to. Sorry for doubting u, I appreciate the help. Thank you

@picklefixesstuf No offense taken. There is a lot of misinformation surrounding those peripheral parts because Apple does not communicate that sort of thing, which means it's up to repair community to figure out what's what. Also I think it sort of makes logic sense for NFC to be tied into the charge coil. Nevertheless. Glad you got that sorted out!
