Changed HDD from old Mac to new. Machine ID?

So i shifted from an old macbook pro 15" to a macbook to still be able to work. I took the hdd from the pro and put it in the macbook. Now my question is, will the machine id or the mac address change?? Just... wondering. because i've got a lot of wifi routers already saved and getting the passwords to a few of them is going to be a pain in the wrong place. Thank you!

The machine ID will change. You shouldn't have a problem with the passwords unless you change the computers name. Even when I clone a drive, the new machine will see the old machine if it is on and automatically rename it.

Hey mayer. Thank you for your answer. For further clarification, will the machine ID change to the new machine or will the old one remain? Thanks again!

When I've done this with 10.7 the computers name has remained the same.
