Stuck at Apple logo

I recently bought a 7th gen Classic which was stuck at the Apple logo, so I followed the answer below:

iPod will not sync, is stuck on Apple Logo

Stuck on apple logo and will not go on diskmode

I was able after some tries to place it on disk mode and even run a SMART test, which came out with no reallocs or pending sectors.

When placed on disk mode my windows PC recognized a drive being connected but just that, wasn’t able to show any drive property or information neither was it recognized by iTunes.

To be in the safe side I tested the HDD in other logic board and same thing happens, this eliminates any possibility of a logic board or even connector failure.

Any ideas of what could be done?

Answer this question I have this problem too

@what do you know about the history of this iPod. It is possible that this is an issue with the HDD having been formatted under MacOS. I’d consider formatting the drive
