Spilled water on MBA and have question regarding rubbing alcohol

Hello, last night I noticed there was water on my MBA (siblings probably spilled some) and so I wiped it off and proceeded to open it and login. Like the idiot I was, I continued to press the power button because it kept shutting off. So after I read some forums I finally turned it upside down like a tent and set it in front of a fan. It’s been about 24 hours so I went back and tried to plug In the power and the red light didn’t appear so now I think I killed the battery too. I just ordered a P5 and was reading about how I need at least 90% rubbing alcohol. What exactly should I need cleaning? Anything else I can try while hoping it will come back alive? Or did I just murder my laptop ?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

You don't want rubbing alcohol! You want isopropyl alcohol (85% or better). Rubbing has other stuff (colorant and menthol) in it which you don't want and cheaper isopropyl has other junk in it. Pour a small amount into a clean glass cup letting it evaporate if you see a film then you don't want to use it.

Thank you! I’ll make sure it is the isopropyl alcohol
