iPhone 7 Home button stops when front camera flex connected

Hi,

Strange question for you all. Purchased a phone that had a cracked screen and home button doesn’t work. Replaced the screen and all went well, however looking into this home button problem.. The home button doesn’t seem to work when the front camera flex is connected, and works fine when the front camera flex is disconnected.

Can’t see any torn cables or anything so i’m a little unsure as to what to try next! Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Based on your own troubleshooting, the next logical step is to try a known-good or new FCAM flex to see if the HB problem is consistent with the Flex or the rest of the phone. Make to sure to only change one variable at a time when troubleshooting so you don’t get lost in all the possibilities.
