Is the hard drive soldered or upgradeable?

With all of the cheap M.2 / PCIe SSD options now available, I’m curious if this is upgradeable. I spent the money on the 32GB of ram knowing it would probably be soldered on, curious if the hard drive can be upgraded.

No, everything is soldered and encrypted with the new T-series chip, forget about upgrading this device EVER.

although you do have the option of Thunderbolt 3 external drives, which should be just as fast.

As far as I know, Apple never offered a hard drive on this MacBook Pro model.

The SSD is decidedly soldered to the mainboard though.
