Can I upgrade the specs?

I’ve recently had the idea, I’m sure I’m not the first but I can’t find anything about it, to upgrade the specs on my Xbox. I’m aware of the proprietary motherboard and such but I was thinking if I just threw the hard drive into my pc and bought a wireless adaptor for the controller it would function the same as a normal Xbox one. I don’t know much on the subject but I don’t see any hurdles I shouldn’t be able to cross and wanted some “official” assistance on whether it’s possible.

It is not possible to run Xbox One software on your PC as the software was designed for custom hardware, which is literally incompatible. Trying to do so is the literal definition of emulation, which no real work has been done for Xbox One.

Then the hard drive is encrypted, how do you expect the PC to read anything useful from the hard drive?

the only thing you can upgrade on the xbox itself is the hard drive, you can upgrade the hard drive to an SSD to make boot up times and game load times much faster. also you cannot put the hard drive from the xbox into your PC, because it wont start.
