Doesn‘t turn on.

When I press the power button the fans spin, but no chime, nothing boots. I tried resetting pram/nvram and smc, both didn‘t work. Happend after a regular shutdown. No liquid damage, no burn marks on the board. Running Catalina. What is going wrong?

Disconnect the battery from the logic board. Disconnect the MagSafe adapter. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Plug the battery back in, then the MagSafe. You should get a spontaneous reboot.

Hmm, so now the screen lights up and tells me it has no battery. I‘ve had it connected to the charger for roughly 15 minutes, still no change.

same problem... do you mean unplug the battery connector or the remove the entire battery component?

by

@tjbennett - first disconnect the battery follow the fist steps in the guide pasted above. Press the power button for a good 15 secs, the plug in the MagSafe charger not the battery! The system should spontaneously start up, let if fully boot up and do a proper shutdown, then reconned the battery and give it a try.

If the system fails to boot up or if after reconnecting the battery it fails to boot you have deeper issues which need to be diagnosed.
