iMac dead no sign of life when power applied

I have an iMac that shows no sign of life. I an considering replacing the Power supply. Are there any guides on opening up the mac, ( I want to check the 4 diagnostic leds to confirm PSU dead ) and what replacement Power Supply would I need to order?. Does ifixit stock replacement PSU for this model, if not can anyone recommend where to get one ?.

I have attached a pic of the make and model of the mac.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated as this would be my first time at a repair of this type

Regards Alec

Here are the specs on your machine:

Apple iMac "Core 2 Duo" 2.4 24-Inch (Al) Specs

Identifiers: Mid-2007 - 24" - MA878LL - iMac7,1 - A1225 -  2134

Here’s where the diagnostic LEDs are located:

iMac Intel 24" EMC 2134 and 2211 Diagnostic LED's

UPDATE 9/5/19

Here’s a video guide on replacing the power supply on a 24” iMac:

Apple part #(614-0405).

I see lots of people recommend the 661-4478

Hi Mayer.

Thank you very much for your help so far. I Have followed your guide removed the bezel and checked the diagnostic LED's. When AC power is applied NONE of the LED's light up. I am assuming the power supply is at fault.

Could you guide me in selecting a replacement PSU for my iMac. Does iFixit stock replacements or could you recommend an internet seller of compatible PSU

I very much appreciate your help

I recently bought a iMac 2011 with the same issue. One thing that helped me is taking the plug out, waiting 10 seconds, pressing the power button for 10 seconds, waiting another 10 seconds, then plugging it back in, wait 10 seconds and turn it on. Now the fans spin and disk drive made a noise, so i know it’s working but no display so still yet to fix it properly. Maybe you might have more luck with that! Also i have heard a pvram reset helps. But it requires a usb keyboard.
