Weird Overheating - even after thermal paste change

Hi guys,

I’ve been having the weirdest problem with a Retina Mid 2012 15 inch MBP.

It’s been overheating like crazy, reaches 104 degrees Celsius.

I’ve: reapplied thermal paste, cleaned the fans for dust, clean OS install, reset PRAM & SMC.

There are extreme temp spikes: scrolling a website equals + 15 degrees Celsius. During boot-up it reaches 104 Celsius. After iStat Menus takes over and uppes the fan speed.

What could be wrong with this Macbook?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Your heat sink may have leaked. Look for an oily type stain around the crimped end of the sink. Even if you don’t find it, I would replace it:
