iPhone 4 Fell in Saltwater

My iPhone 4 fell in saltwater and now it's unresponsive about an hour later it got really hot so I'm guessing maybe the battery fried which I know is common with water damage?

First thing to do is remove the battery and rinse out saltwater with distilled water to get the saltwater out. Distilled wateer will leave no deposits and residue like tap water will. Thoroughly clean with 91% alcohol and a toothbrush. Blow off excess with filtered compressed air and le tdry overnight before reassembly. Install a new battery and hope for the best. Good luck.
