New battery worked for 3 days then it wont turn on?

I bought a battery from I fix it and installed it 3 days ago. Everything worked fine until last night when the computer wouldnt turn on. I tried everything… SMC Reset, Safe mode… all the hotkey combos, and the computer was just dark, nothing would happen.

Fast forward 4 hours and when I get home from work the computer works and I believe the SMC reset worked because it my clock was off and had to reconnect to a bunch of my accounts.

I’m not sure what the !&&* is going on but I suspect the new battery could be the issue because that’s the only thing that changed. I am currently using the old battery because the computer seems to work fine while charging. Anyone else experience this issue? My work is kinda cold, probably like 55 deg Fahrenheit so maybe that was the issue?

One more thing. when I first got to work and opened the computer, it took a second to wake up. I had to close the screen after pressing the power button, then opened the screen and it was working fine…. then I closed the screen and it stopped working for about 4 hours… I have 0 clue what happened.

Did you calibrate the new battery? Let’s take a better look at it using a better tool. Please run Coconut Battery and post you results.

Mayer’s right also um you,..ok…this happened to me too and what happened was maybe you blowed the battery up or you bent the charging cable…Just saying…But listen to Mayer ;) ! Okay this is a edit now you where in cold weather or inside it was cold so I suggest that you don’t do that again and um well get another one or try to fix it but if it doesn’t work then Mayer we’ll probably help you
