When you save files then, save them to the new drive (usually would be the D:// drive, instead of the default C:// drive)

D:/ is reserved for optical drives, it would be E or F (If a second optical drive were present) when you format a new drive, you have the option to assign it's drive letter however.

That must be new, on all the old sony's and dell's I had back in the 90's, the second internal was always the D drive.

I know E and F (or sometimes G) are always what external drives show up as, but the second internal drive I've always known to show up as D

Oh, I remember that A:, and B: were always reserved for floppy drives, In my PC, there's the Boot Hard drive C, then a DVD burner D, then a second hard drive G, then a few different other things that go up after that (External Hard Drive, Flash Drives, Card Readers, Etc.) you do have the option when you put in a new drive to change it's letter when you format it. (This is all in windows, 7/Vista/XP, I haven't used Win98 in a long time.

Well I guess that's that then, what I'm talking about mainly would be win96 and 98 haha. Either way, I guess it's important the use should just check that.
