Can I add a SSD and keep the current hard drive?

I want to have 2 storage devices, in other words.

Here’s the guide for installing an SSD 2.5” drive.

You can then use the optical bay for an additional standard drive.

Hi David

Technically it is possible, one way is to sacrifice your optical drive and get a optical drive to sata bracket converter to fit your sata drive.

Do keep in mind the optical drives SATA port is slower! SATA II (3.0 Gb/s) Vs SATA III (6.0 Gb/s)

Using the dual drive kit is better.
