Is upgrade to 802.11n card possible if I upgrade screen too?

I have a macbook core 2 duo bought in 2008. Its motherboard is fried so I want to use its screen and airport card in my macbook core duo from mid 2006.

According to ifixit I can't make the upgrade, but the reason specified is the three antennae connection. Since the screen holds the antennae I would think that it would no longer be a problem.

Is there a reason I can't make the upgrade as long as I swap screens?

One of our best contributor here at iFixit, rdklinc, has posted a macbook 1181 logic boards review on youtube. Look at it and you'll know how you can mix or not the first and second macbook generation logic boards, cases and screens and other components.
