Siri mic not working

Mic works fine for calls but not for Siri or messaging or google anyone know why and how to fix it? Thanks

There are several microphones on an iPhone, the one used by Siri is the front upper one, just beside the front camera. Unless the little hole got badly clogged and doesn’t let anymore the sound in, in which case sound would be heavily muffled, you’ll have to replace the front camera assembly or follow the replacement replacement guide to check there’s no dirt in place. Have a look at the guide, it will help you evaluate if you want to try the replacement/cleaning by yourself.

Did factory reset/DFU work for you? If yes, then it means that some other software might use your mic and is not going to let Siri use it (sounds stupid a bit, but that’s what I can imagine). If not, then it might be dedicated mic issue… If thats’s the case, then it’s only to leave it to repair technicians if you don’t feel confident doing that yourself.
