My keyboard will not work. What’s wrong?

I did not spill anything on my keyboard, nor have I dropped the laptop. I woke up one morning attempting to use my laptop. I tried to login into my account that required a password, although, my keyboard was unresponsive and continued to spam a letter/key I have no knowledge of as it was kept in secret as it was the password login. I decided to reset the laptop. And, after doing so, my keyboard is completely unresponsive. The only working button is the power button. My mouse and trackpad work perfectly.

I have tried the SMC reset. I have attempted at the PRAM reset, although, I think my keyboard is unresponsive and unable to complete the reset with the 5-6 times that I’ve tried so far.

I am able to login to the guest account and toggle with the system preferences involving the keyboard settings. Nothing has changed.

Also, if it helps, the backlight on the keyboard is functioning properly.

sos.

Your system uses the Trackpad as a junction point for both the keyboard and trackpad signals which then go onto the logic board. Often times this cable can get damaged from pressure for a failing battery.
