WiFi: No hardware installed

Hello,

I have a MacBook Air A1466, Mid 2013

With WiFi no hardware found issue. I changed the WiFi card but still the same. This all started I believe when a moist towel was placed on top of the system. The day it happened, it would not turn on at all. Finally when it turned on after few hours, it started with some other WiFi issue saying WiFi not found, then to WiFi no hardware installed.

When I got to system report, on network it does not have any report.

Also, my system folds all the way back. The hinges does not stop it from folding all the way back after my dog sat on top of the lid. Could it have something to do with it?

So of the wires are messed up, I opened the bottom cover and saw that the WiFi cable had a tear to it.

Thank you!!

P.S. Bluetooth does work.

Sounds like your displays hinges need replacing as well as the antenna cables. Here’s the needed parts: MacBook Air 13" Hinge/Clutch LH - iSight/Antenna, Apple P/N 661-02397 and MacBook Air 13" Hinge/Clutch RH - LVDS, Apple P/N 661-02397. You’ll need to take the display assembly off to fix things. Here’s the IFIXIT guide you’ll need to follow: MacBook Air 13" Mid 2013 Display Assembly Replacement Once the assembly is off its not to hard to replace the parts and then re-assemble.
