Touch Screen not Working After Replacement

Hi ,

I’ve recently went to replace my 5s’ cracked screen to a new on only to discover that the touch on the new screen was completely unresponsive. Thinking I had a dud screen, I sent it back and got a refund.

I tested my original screen with my phone again and the touch worked fine.

Ordering a new screen again, I went to install it today and again the touch is completely unresponsive! The new screen is an original apple screen so I doubt it is faulty the second time, however I doubt my phone is faulty due to it working fine with the cracked screen.

Honestly any help on this would be appreciated, because im stumped.

Answer this question I have this problem too

The only thing I can think of is that you may have caused pry damage or long screw damage.

Did you put the screws back in the exact same location if not then that could cause long screw damage and prevent touch.

Make sure all your ribbon cables are properly seated. Ive had similar problems with iphones not working and the problem simply was a bad connection.
